💌📭
December has come and brought cold winter winds that make the tip of your nose frozen. With just a few days left in December now, we hope you are taking the time to send off the bad memories, cherish the good ones,
and recharge for the year to come.
We wish to express our gratitude to all of you who joined us this year
as well on our journey towards creating a world where everyone can live in equality and with dignity.
Our hearts go out to those who are still suffering due to unresolved wars and conflicts, and we hope that in the coming year, peace will fill everyone’s daily lives and that people all around the world will be able to live healthy lives in equality.
In the year 2024 as well, the World Human Rights Cities Forum will continue to stand with you, as we all work together to build inclusive cities.
We wish you all a peaceful holiday season and a happy New Year.

Cities’ Good Practices
Presented in the Forum |
|
|
A wide variety of responses, such as policies and strategies from cities that are actively tackling poverty and inequalities were shared during the Forum, and we have collected them all in one place in the Final Report. Under “Cities’ Good Practices Presented in the Forum” you will find city policies and strategies, along with the links* to the related materials, so you can find out more about your topics of interest. (*Linked materials are marked with a link icon and will take you to the original text.)
Under the theme of "Human Rights Cities Responding to Poverty and Inequalities", each session focused on in-depth discussions about ways to address various areas of human rights issues at the city level and identified concrete measures that can be applied in practice. In the “Executive Summary“ section, you will see the conclusions drawn from the four main discussion points raised in the concept note, while in the ”Session Reports“ section, you can review the discussions, good practices, and action points decided to be taken at each session. Finally, you can also read the ”Declaration“, created based on the resolutions from the overall discussions. |

World Human Rights Cities Forum Volunteers Completion Ceremony |
|
|
On December 9, the Completion Ceremony of the World Human Rights Cities Forum volunteer group HURO (short for Human Rights Hero) was held for the 3rd year in a row. Over the past seven months, the translation volunteer team translated official Forum materials and various human rights-related materials from Korea and abroad, while the promotion volunteer team planned and produced Forum promotional material content on eight different occasions. At the Completion Ceremony, a total of 12 volunteers from both received completion certificates, while 5 of the volunteers whose efforts were recognized as ‘outstanding’ received special appreciation certificates. We wish to sincerely thank our volunteers for keeping up with their remarkable efforts over the marathon-long period of time, and congratulate them on successfully completing the volunteer activities.🎉
You can find the promotional materials and translations created by the volunteer team on our website! |

We look forward to seeing you again next year. |
