The 13th World Human Rights Cities Forum is just over a month away now.
From October 4 to 7, various programs will be taking place at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju, Korea, under the theme of “Human Rights Cities Responding to Poverty and Inequalities”. All stakeholders, including the WHRCF Secretariat, are making final preparations for the event, so we hope everyone is staying tuned! We are looking forward to your participation. 😊 |

The 13th World Human Rights Cities Forum pre-registration started! |
|
|
The pre-registration for the Forum has been officially opened. To participate in the event, one needs to pre-register either online or on-site. We encourage all participants to pre-register through our website by September 23, in order to enter the session without additional procedures at the gate. Furthermore, the program book will be provided to registered participants only. All information about this year’s program can be found on our website. |

Fourth International Steering Committee and Planning Committee Meeting Held |

With only one month remaining, the fourth International Steering Committee Meeting and the Planning Subcommittee Meeting were held on August 24 and 25, respectively. During these meetings, a wide range of topics were addressed, including official Events, this year's Declaration, and next year's Forum theme, gathering diverse opinions from both Korean and international members. The 2nd UNESCO Master Class Gwangju Series is underway! |

It's been a month since the activities of the 2nd UNESCO Master Class Gwangju Series officially began. Over that period, the youth participants took part in the pre-education programs (Orientation, Workshop, and Training), particularly focusing on understanding the mechanisms underlying racism and discriminations. They spent time creating team action plans to counter discriminations in our society, under the theme of "Youth Actions in Response to Inequalities". |

Introducing the Global Campaign “10, 100, 1000 Human Rights Cities and Territories by 2030”! |

The “10, 100, 1000 Campaign”, organized by the UCLG Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights (UCLG-CISDPDH), aims to increase the number of human rights cities from 100 to 1000 by 2030 and spread the human rights city movement around the world. Six of the prominent human rights cities in the world today - Barcelona, Grigny, Gwangju, Mexico City, Utrecht, and Vienna - are leading the campaign, and the Gwangju International Center (World Human Rights Cities Forum) is actively participating alongside Gwangju Metropolitan City.
